Bill Thomas is the pastor of Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas.  He is the author of The Road to Victory (CSS) and two Christian young-adult novels. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Kansas, Manhattan Christian College, and Johnson Bible College.

Though anyone could read this book, it is formatted to be used by a study group. The author has organized into three studies: The Critical Questions; Who Do You Say He Is?; and “I Saw Jesus.”

Within each study there are seven lessons. Each lesson contains a scripture text, the objective of the lesson, the prayer focus, the content of the lesson, conclusion, suggested songs and hymns, and discussion questions.

This is a thoughtful book, well-written, and an excellent guide to prepare the reader/students to renew his/their spirits in preparation for Easter.

The annual tradition of Lent is suppose to be a yearly period for one to reflect on their relationship with God. "The Critical Questions...and More: Three Pre-Easter Bible Studies" is here to help readers better look at themselves in this annual holy time leading up the celebration of the resurrection. Split into three separate yet equal parts of Critical Questions, Who Do You Say He Is?, and I Saw Jesus, "The Critical Questions...and More: Three Pre-Easter Bible Studies" is a scholarly and deftly researched compilation of religious questions and highly recommended for community library religious collections.
