Bio: David Rogne, a native of California, David Rogne received his B. A. in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley; a Master’s degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California; a Doctorate in Homiletics from the Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, California, where his doctoral project was on the subject of Presentations in the First Person. He served as pastor of a number of United Methodist Churches in Southern California during a forty-year ministry. He is the author of four books: Let Me Tell You; Telling It Like It Was; Sermons on the Gospel Readings, all published by CSS Publishers, and Just In Time for Advent, published by Abingdon Press.
He and his wife, Mary Jane, now live in South Carolina, where he continues to write and frequently lectures on historical personalities. In his presentations he typically assumes the identity of the subject and tells the story from the perspective of the subject. He has served as lecturer on more than 60 cruises for a number of cruise lines. |
